Ben Robins is a freelance editorial and script writer currently based in Kent, England.

Ben provides regular editorial content for Flickering Myth, HeyUGuys, his own, recently formed cult-movie blog, Cultastic and tech start-up Debut’s careers insight blog. He is also developing two short films for production in the next year, one as part of the Creative England shortFLIX programme backed by Sky, and the other independently.

Most recently he worked alongside Studio Fry as a script writer for a new in-development TV/web series chronicling the origins of food dishes from around the globe, co-writing six episodes which are now in active production.

On top of this, he also served as the Film Editor for the nationwide news, entertainment and opinion website The National Student, running their expansive Film section, as well as providing reviews and features of everything from student shorts to huge blockbuster releases, and interviews with notable talent including Chris Hemsworth, M. Night Shyamalan and many others.

Whilst studying for his First Class degree in Film Studies at the University of Southampton, Ben worked as the Film Editor for the student-run entertainment magazine The Edge. Alongside this, he also formed part of a student blogger team employed by the university, who collectively ran the lifestyle blog Life At Southampton, and in his spare time, Ben set up a now annual student film festival (University of Southampton Student Film Festival), and performed as one of five regular presenters on the online film panel show Reel Opinions, which still produces regular video and audio content.

In the past, Ben has written for the now defunct Mr Movie Fiend’s Movie Blog, as well as running his own regularly-visited YouTube channel, and providing content for TheBigChoice.com’s student advice publications.
