I want her to tell a story that’s just hers, and that only she can tell. And she will inspire me, and everyone else because of that specificity.”
The National Student’s Film Editor Ben Robins caught up with veteran director M Night Shyamalan to discuss The Visit – his first experience with found footage, which also taught him the beauty of making films on a small budget.
The director of The Sixth Sense and Signs also talks about how he uses humour in his horror, without falling into the realm of spoof, and offers his advice to aspiring filmmakers.
